Bear Awareness Day: May 23 has been designated Bear Awareness Day -- trying to keep human visitors aware of our impact on these ursine residents. From 10AM to 3PM meet the Bear Team in Yosemite Village. At 11AM and 2PM in the auditorium we'll show the movie, "Bears of Sequoia".

Mariposa PowWow: May 10 - 11 marks the 15th annual PowWow, a Native American celebration featuring traditional regalia, dances and songs. PowWow is held at Mariposa County Fairgrounds, south of town, starting 10AM Saturday and Sunday. More info, click here.
Gold Country Golf Tournament: This shot-gun tournament will be held at the newly renovated and redesigned Lake Don Pedro Golf Course, Friday, May 16. In addition to the tournament, there will be contests, raffles and dinner at the first class restaurant. More info, click here.
Catheys Valley Western Fair: Enjoy Memorial Day Weekend at Coyote Springs Ranch, and experience the old West. Lots of farm animals, including some very impressive draft horses pulling our authentic wagons, and plenty of other activities for kids and adults, art and craft booths, equestrian and arena events, and good food.
